How can I register?

There are two ways to become a member of YourChristmasList.com.

  1. Have an administrator of an existing group add you to their group.
  2. Request a new group. You will be the owner of the group and an administrator of the group and have the responsibility of adding new users for your new group!

You can request a new group by using the contact us at the bottom of the page.

How can I change the parents for my child?

The parents can be managed by the person that created your child's account. This is usually an administrator of the first group that they became a member of. You can always contact us if you need help.

Gifts

Why can't I edit or delete my gift?

You can edit your gift for one hour after you create it. The reason for this is once you enter a gift, others in your groups can start their shopping list. If you edit or delete your gift, it wouldn't be fair to others in your group.

What happens to my gift list after Christmas?

Currently, the system remains running until October of the next year. Sometime in October, all gift lists and user IDs are removed and things start from scratch for the next holiday season. If you want to have use of the system for the next year, you will have to request a new group or groups again. This keeps stale data from filling up the system.

Why can't I mark a gift certificate as purchased?

The idea is that you can surely use more than one gift certificate, so you can receive more than one gift certificate for the same place. If it were to be marked as purchased, that narrows the number of gifts you can receive.
